Professor James Nwoye Adichie, the father of renowned Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has died.
Late Professor Adichie died on Wednesday, June 10.
He was admitted into the Chira Memorial Hospital in Awkuzu, Oyi local government area of Anambra State before he passed on.
The deceased who celebrated his 88th birthday on Sunday, March 1, was an Emeritus Professor of Statistics and Mathematics at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN).
He was the first Nigerian Professor of Statistics having become a Professor of Statistics in 1976.
