Detained socialite and owner of Club Quilox, Shina Peller, has been released.
Peller who was arrested and detained at Maroko Police Station was subsequently released on bail after his case was transferred to the State’s Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, following the directives of the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
The member Federal House of Representatives was arrested for originally mobilising and leading over 60 thugs to Maroko Police Station to forcefully take back cars belonging to the club’s customers, having been originally impounded for causing traffic.
According to the police, Peller had been severally warned against causing traffic around the area where the club is located.
However, a recent 36-hour party held by the club seemed to worsen matters.
A spokesman for the politician, however, said the federal lawmaker met traffic authorities prior to the party to forestall traffic gridlock.
