Popular Abuja based school, Lead British International School, Abuja is in the news for the wrong reasons.
This follows the release of two terrifying bullying video online.
The initial video captures a female student slapping a fellow female student.
In the second video, a boy was spotted being bullied by other students in the same school.
Also, some male students in the school’s uniform can be seen surrounding another boy on his knees. As he stood on his feet, he was slapped on the head before he was whisked away.
Meanwhile, the school has been shut down by authorities following an out pour of criticism by Nigerian online.
Also, operatives of the Abuja Police Command have been in Abuja drafted to the school.
The officers in the team were given the order to conduct inquiries into the reported cases of bullying.
A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer for the FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, reads
“In a proactive response to alarms raised by some members of the public regarding videos circulating on social media depicting the bullying of students at the above mentioned school, the FCT Police Command is on top of the situation and has deployed seasoned officers to the school premises for investigations and to forestall any possible breakdown of law and order.”
