Singer, Naira Marley’s fraud trial has been ajourned.

The case which was brought before a Federal High Court in Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), was initially meant for Monday, October 21, but was moved to the following day because the court did not sit.

When the case came up for hearing on Tuesday, October 22, it was adjourned by Justice Nicholas Oweibo, who did not announce the date for the next sitting.

Justice Oweibo held that the case was adjourned to enable EFCC’s counsel Mr Rotimi Oyedepo and Naira Marley’s counsel Mr Olalekan Ojo (SAN) to respond to two motions.

Recall that Naira Marley was arrested on May 10 by operatives of the EFCC. He was subsequently charged to court on 11 counts of cyber crime by the anti-graft agency. The singer however pleaded not guilty.
