Artists have been reacting to Naira Marley’s endorsement of cyber fraud.
The singer popular for the song ‘Issa Goal’ had taken to social media to encourage cyber fraud, adding it was the price westerners had to pay for taking Africans as slaves.
According to him, cybercrime was payment for the colonial era Africans endured in the hands of the West.
He wrote: “If you know slavery you go know say Yahoo no be crime.”
However, it has been mixed reactions that have trailed him from musicians.
Reacting to Naira Marley’s position, Ruggedman urged the artist to be careful with his words so as not to mislead his followers on social media because no matter how the act of cybercrime is twisted, it can never be justified.
Reacting, Tunde Ednut said “Okay, Naira Marley, This is wrong!!! You should be passing such messages.” Davido however, felt there was nothing wrong with the musician’s post, as he simply wrote “Nobody Holy”.
