Veteran singer, Daddy Showkey, has reacted to the killing of an innocent man by a custom officer.
Reacting to the killing, the singer noted that the life of Nigerian citizens holds no value to security agencies.
48-year-old Daddy Showkey reacted following a nonchalant statement credited to the office of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS).
In a video broadcast on Instagram Live, Daddy Showkey, decried the incessant attacks on Nigerians journeying by road, adding that he had also been threatened in the past.
A video of officials of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) shooting a man dead went viral on Sunday, February 16.
NCS spokesperson, Joseph Attah, confirmed that the incident occurred at the Sagamu Interchange, along Ijebu Ode.
He described the deceased as a boy of the officials and not a commuter.
Mr Attah said the incident occurred during an attempt to disarm the officer.
Nigerians have however frowned at the statement by Attah describing it as trying to paint a wrong impression of the true situation.
