Ongoing investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in the Nigerian banking sector is bringing out causalities daily.
Latest in the list of causalities is Dauda Lawal, an Executive Director (ED), in charge of Public Affairs at the First Bank of Nigeria.
Lawal, was arrested by the EFCC for his involvement with the acquisition of Le Meridien Hotel in Port Harcourt by former Nigeria Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
Like other financial eggheads arrested by the financial crimes agency, Lawal’s arrest has seen the man in the storm, as followers wonder to what extent he is involved in the $55million investigation.
