Davido Comes Under Fire For Comment Made In America

Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido is at the receiving end of criticism for comments he made on an American radio.
Davido was put on the blast by Nigerians for saying that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles while on the radio in US.
Speaking during an interview on the Big Homies House Podcast, Davido urged Nigerians in America not to return home, adding that the economy is in a mess. He said: “It is not cool back home. The economy is in shambles.”
Reactions that have trailed the comment have seen calls for a retraction of the statement, with many describing Davido’s comments as de-marketing Nigeria and her economy via his comment.
Interestingly, this comes barely days after the singer was massively celebrated for turning 32 years old.
