Singer, Mayorkun has revealed that he started writing songs at the age of 13.
Speaking during an interview, the artiste said he started writing his songs while he was in school, adding that his time as a banker was in a bid to raise money to push his music career.
Hear him, “the reason I went into banking was to make money to push my music. At a point, I enrolled for a particular course because I heard that if you are certified for it in my bank your salary would start from N300,000, I imagined I will be able to push at least one song and a video if I make that kind of money in two or three years.”
On his relationship with Davido since signing on his label, the artiste said it had been brotherly.
In his words, “we all know that he is our boss, but he doesn’t see us like that. We don’t even see ourselves as his boys we see ourselves as his brothers. My relationship with Dremo and Danagog seem like we have known each other for 10 years, they have been too welcoming. Everybody in the house including B-Red and Shina has been welcoming.”
Although Mayorkun who is popular for the sensational song Eleko launched his professional music career in 2013, it’s difficult to believe that he has such massive followership.
