Music Demolition: Singer, Yemi Alade Continues To Engage Lagos Government Published 7 months ago on May 6, 2024 By The Octopus News Admin Popular Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade is not done engaging the Lagos State government over demolitions of houses taking place in the Mende area of the state. Recall that over the weekend, the state Ministry of Environment and Water Resources demolished the houses on the grounds that the houses were built on the drainage system of the state. On Sunday, the singer shared a video pointing out that the different demolitions are ruining the real estate value of Lagos and Nigeria. In a series of tweets posted online this morning May 5, she said the state government is giving Nigerians reasons not to invest in Lagos real estate. In her post, she called on the state government to at least start refunding affected legal buyers the monies paid to the state government when purchasing their land.
