The recently dethroned Olofa of Ofa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi has cancelled all plans of his impending birthday celebration. Prior to his dethronement, the Oba had been planning a mother of all parties to celebrate his 50th birthday, with invitation cards already sent to his friends. However, all that seems to have vanished with the recent ruling of an appeal court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, which nullified his appointment and restrained him from parading himself as the traditional ruler of the community with immediate effect. The judgment delivered by Justice Hussein Muhktar, has since cast a big shadow over the party, which a lot of the monarch’s friends had hoped to attend sometime later in August. The crisis of who is entitled to produce the Oba Ofa, has been on for some time now, as the Olugbense ruling house, has been battling the Anilelerin ruling house over who should be the rightful occupant of the stool.
