Onetime Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, has emerged the governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ogun State.
The party, held its primary election to choose its flag bearers in the 2019 general elections and confirmed Bankole as winner.
Reacting to the emergence of Bankole, members of the party in Ogun State welcomed the announcement with jubilation.
Bankole holds a very enviable record of being the youngest ever speaker in the history the House of Representatives, having held the office at the age of 37.
Announcing the results of the election, ADP Returning Officer, High Chief Chamberlain Amadi urged members of the party to work assiduously to ensure victory for members seeking elective offices.
