Don’t Call Me A Nollywood Star, I Am Evergreen-Papi Luwe

Popular Nigerian comic actor, playwright, film director, and producer, Sunday Omobolanle, has described himself as an evergreen actor as opposed to a Nollywood star.

Omobolanle, who is known for his great sense of humour, revealed this much in a recent interview.

While talking about the time his son Sunkanmi spent in the Nigerian Army and how he became unruly at some point in time, the actor, who is also popular as Papi Luwe, noted that stars fade when it’s cloudy and about to rain, but an evergreen lasts the taste of time.

The Ilora-born actor is famous for his role in multiple films, including Adun Ewuro, a 2011 Nigerian film that featured Adebayo Salami. He is also credited for acting in movies such as Love of My Life (2002), Green Snake (2003), where he played the role of Udenwa, and Olorire (2003) in which he interpreted the role of Oluso.

Other movies in which Papi Luwe who is now big in consultancy initiative such as advert and promotions acted in are Perosoko (2003), in which he acted as Chief, Lanleyin (2004), Eewo orun (2005), Adun ewuro (2006), Asoko peye (2008), Adun Ewuro (2011), Oba Alatise, Head Gone (2014), Survival of Jelili (2019) in which as Papi Luwe and Anikulapo (2022) where he acted as Oyo Chief.
