Music Executive, Chidi Okeke, has refuted claims that he is indebted to singer Dammy Krane.
The Mcomm boss made the declaration after the singer took to his Instagram page to say that Okeke is owing him money from the proceeds of his music. Dammy Krane also followed up with a diss single titled ‘Pay Me My Money’ where he attacked Okeke.
According to Dammy Krane, Okeke cheated him out of the full proceeds made from music content uploaded for distribution and monetisation by Mcomm.
Clarifying issues, Okeke, confirmed his company had a business relationship with the musician, but was not indebted to him, as it was Dammy Krane who owed them.
“Mcomm did have a contractual relationship with Dammy Krane whereby it uploaded his music content on mobile telephone platforms for Caller Ring Back Tune (CRBT) for commercial download.
“At the time of entering into the contract with Dammy Krane, Mcomm gave him an advance payment in the sum of N350, 000 (Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) as an act of good faith. However, till date, his entire catalogue has only earned N275, 000 (Two Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand Naira).”
Advising the singer to cease from spreading falsehood about him, Okeke said he would seek legal redress if he continues.
