Drama as LASTMA Officers hunt down Traffic Offender

It was drama on thursday, June 13, as hordes of men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) stormed the office of WEMCO, located along Wemco Road Ogba, Lagos State.
The men, numbering about 20 were said to have been after a man who allegedly committed a traffic offence at Ojota, an area in Lagos State.
www.theoctopusnews.com, was informed by eye witnesses at the scene that the LASTMA officers chased the driver to Wemco road and almost lynched him before he managed to escape into the premises of the company.
When we got to the scene of the incident, an irate officer of the traffic agency (name withheld) was seen peeping into the compound of the company and cursing the man who had ran for his dear life, while asking him to come out and see if he would not be killed. However, it took the intervention of a senior officer of the LASTMA team before the troops left the scene.
