Prominent elder statesman and Ijaw national leader, Edwin Clark, is one man known to be associated with some level of controversy, both in his business and most especially the politics of Delta State, where he hails from.
Although the man received loads of positive comments from his loyalists, when he recently celebrated his 80th birthday, Clark seems not to know how to stay out of controversies.
Presently, he is the focus of criticism from politicians and stakeholders in the politics of Delta State for discrediting the ambition of the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, to become the governor of Delta State in 2015.
Elder Orubebe is, however, not the only person firing his salvo at Clark, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Victor Ochei, has also criticised the man, saying, he is not in a position to decided who is qualified to contest the 2015 Delta State gubernatorial elections.
