Controversial musician, Eedris Abdulkareem has returned with the refix of his old song titled ‘Jaga’Jaga’.The refixed song comes in hip hop and Hausa versions.Like the original version, it talks about conscious realities faced on daily basis in the country.Recall that the song was vehemently criticized when it was first released in 2014, off the artist’s third studio album titled ‘Jaga Jaga’.
In the heat of the criticisms, the musician was said to have changed his tune, saying that Nigeria was nolonger ‘Jaga Jaga’.
In Nigeria, ‘Jaga Jaga’ is aYoruba term for shambles. In the song, the artist declaimed corruption and suffering in the country. Though the title track was banned from radio by President Olusegun Obasanjo, it continued to be played in nightclubs and parties.
