EFCC Detains Medview Airline Boss, Muneer Bankole

A monumental fraud has seen the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), detaining the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medview Airline Plc, Muneer Bankole.
Bankole was detained for allegedly diverting funds meant for Hajj.
Invited to the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, he arrived at about 11am on Monday, January 31, and was interrogated by operatives of the commission.
He was reportedly invited by the anti-graft agency over a case of alleged diversion of 50 per cent of funds paid to him by the National Hajj Commission, and additional $900,000 USD, for the airlift of pilgrims in 2019.
He reportedly received the funds as mobilization, but did not execute the contract.
