Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Patricia Etteh, has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The agency released Etteh on administrative bail on Friday, May 22, after three days of interrogation.
Etteh, was released Friday night at about 8:45pm upon meeting her bail conditions.
However, she is to report to the office of the agency intermittently to assist further in the investigations.
Recall that the ex-speaker was arrested on Tuesday, May 17, over suspicious and shady financial involvement with Phil Jin Projects Limited.
According to reports, in 2011 Phil Jin Project Limited was given a contract by the NDDC for the supply of solar-powered street lights in some communities in Akwa Ibom.
The company received N287m even though the contract was worth N240m. Phil Jin Project Limited later paid N130m to Patricia Etteh.
The EFCC is now seeking to know why Etteh collected the money, despite not being a staff of the company.
