Veteran rapper, Eldee has joined the discussion surrounding the face-off between Cynthia Morgan and her former record label boss, Jude Okoye.
Reacting to allegations by Morgan that she was stripped of everything she had by Okoye, Eldee asked the dancehall artiste to face the reality of her situation.
Recall that Cynthia Morgan had in an Instagram Live interview spoke about her challenges after Jude Okoye’s Northside Entertainment.
She spoke of how she allegedly lost her stage name “Cynthia Morgan”, her VEVO account, royalties, her Instagram account, and other things due to the contract she signed with the record label.
However, reacting to Morgan’s claims, Eldee took to Twitter to say that people cannot sign contracts and then turn around to complain of being cheated.
According to him, if a company offers one a bad deal, it should not be signed and that if the person goes ahead to sign such a contract, it must be honored. Eldee also revealed that not honouring a contract is dangerous to growth in any ecosystem.
He tweeted:
”Don’t willingly sign a contract & then turn around a while later to complain about how you’re being “cheated”. If the terms are no longer favorable, renegotiate, but remember that your partner also reserves the right to accept the new terms.
“You can’t sign a financial agreement and expect to change the terms halfway into the deal, unless that option/clause exists in the agreement to begin with,” he tweeted.
