Seventy-two-year-old businessman, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has given marriage a second trial, after losing his first wife, Lady Eudora, to cancer.
He married Chinonyerem Enwerem, the daughter of one of his late wife’s friends, on last Saturday.
The traditional wedding held on Saturday, September 14.
Bishop of Ikeduru Diocese of Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwuike, conducted the church rites at his church, while the reception took place at the Art Novo event Centre, Port-Harcourt Road, Owerri.
The couple is said to be expecting their first child soon.
www.theoctopusnews.com learnt that though Iwuanyanwu had paid the bride price, the wedding ceremony and rites took place this year due to bottlenecks from his family members.
The late Lady Eudora, who bore him three sons and five daughters, died on August 28, 2011, at the age of 63.
Chief Iwuanyanwu is 72 while his new bride is said to be 32.
