To describe the former Minister of State for Defence, Erelu Olusola Obada, as a cat with nine lives won’t be wrong.
Having been removed from office as the deputy governor of Osun State after a court ruling declared her former boss, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, as illegally occupying the government house, the dark-complexioned woman had simply hibernated, waiting for her next move to materialise.
And when it did, the wife of Dr. Felix Babatunde bounced back as a minister. She was removed in the recent cabinet reshuffle. Rather than allow herself to be dampened by the development, Erelu took to attending thanksgiving services organised by her family members to appreciate God for what he had done in her life and political career.
Despite initially organising a thanksgiving service in Osun State, the woman organised another one in Lagos State, on Sunday, October 13. The event, which had mostly her family members in attendance, took place at Our Saviours Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. A confidant of the woman told us that after the thanksgiving sessions, the erstwhile minister would settle down to decide her next move, as her options are said to be ample.
