The story making the rounds presently is that the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, has volunteered to foot the medical bills of ailing thespian Kayode Dosumu, popularly known as Pa Kasunmu.
However, very few people have asked why he decided to take up the responsibility as soon as it was brought to his notice, and despite been out of the country in America.
An anonymous source close to the Government House, revealed to www.theoctopusnews.com that Fashola did not want to be greeted with the kind of criticism that trailed him almost two months ago when River State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, picked up the medical bills of musician and producer OJB, under the Lagos Governor’s nose.
Our source, revealed that the Governor did not want the OJB drama to repeat itself again, as it affected his image and his good work, having been tagged an entertainment oriented governor when in 2012, he paid about N4.5 million for the medical surgery of actress, Ngozi Nwosu.
Another source, confirmed to us that the governor moved swiftly, and he will now foot Pa Kasumu’s total medical bill of N12 Million
Pa Kasumu needs treatment for a kidney and liver ailments.
