For people in the political circle, there is nothing like a good politician.
He knows the mind of the people and speaks it when necessary. He also knows when to massage their ego.
Such is the kind of politician that Femi Gbajabiamila is.
In the wake of the heavy criticisms which trailed him following the lavish 50th birthday he threw for his wife, Salamatu, he decided to atone for his sins, breaking the bank and carrying out an almost forced empowerment campaign.
The campaign saw him giving out a range of items including tricycles, bikes, sewing machines and all sorts.
Like a sinner who knew his offence, Gbajabiamila didn’t spend much time in the people’s court, as he was quickly discharged and acquitted for his good standing.
The dividends of Gbajabiamila’s empowerment came to fore in the election of Saturday, February 23, as he was one of the few members of the House of Representatives who had the easiest return to office. Who says Gbajabiamila is not an intelligent politician?
