Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has regained his freedom after he was granted bail by the Lagos State Police Command.
Recall that Kuti has been in detention since surrendering himself to the Lagos Police Command.
The singer had earlier been caught in a viral video as he slapped a policeman on the Third Mainland Bridge.
Having turned himself in, he was arraigned with the court giving the police permission to detain him for 42 hours to be able to conclude their investigation.
His lawyer who confirmed his release noted that the singer’s bail condition was perfected last Thursday, and he was released today, Tuesday, May 23.
