Yes, past events may be blaring with loud warning bells and even available danger signal, but a combination of comeuppance and retribution still result in regrets. Ask Abiola Ajimobi, he knows!
Yes, there is a legend about former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi being a man about town and one man who likes to enjoy life to the fullest. His place in high society is not only notable; he occupies that space with flamboyance. This, as well as his sterling corporate and political career, is about his public personae. The recent revelation by his affable wife, Florence Ajimobi, about his cheating ways has opened another layer that portrays his libidinous appetite lucidly.
For Florence, it was a no-hold barred chat with her daughter, Bisola Kola-Daisi, in a conversation held live on Instagram yesterday. Like a woman in search of much-needed catharsis, she bared it all that her husband was into the cheating game and the former senator did it so carelessly that his track was always easily blown open.
Describing his marriage to the Vice-Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (South West) as a forgiving one, Florence narrated how the former governor would come to her and apologise after he had been caught. She said she never went back to it after the apology until another time after being caught again.
Ajimobi’s infidelity to his matrimonial vows to Florence had an international dimension to it, as she also narrated his escapade with a lady based in the United States, whom she said she identified through the ‘True Caller’ app.
The marriage brought the investigative intelligence of the former first lady to the fore. She narrated how she would go through her husband’s phone and see messages that gave him out, and how she would go on the internet to do Google search on the ladies suspected to be having an affair with him. She would print their images and telephone numbers, and place it on their bed for her husband to see, without saying a word. Upon the sighting, Ajimobi would go on bended knees offering apologies to her.
In all this, Florence said she vowed to keep her marriage and never to surrender her home to another woman. She expressed her faith in the marriage saying nothing would make her husband leave her for another woman.
“I don’t want to be seen like a failure (by losing) him to somebody else. So I fight for him. I’m always fighting for him…always fighting to get him back. And he knows.”
She asked her daughter, who got married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi about ten years ago, to learn from her experience and make it applicable in her own marriage.
