Style and panache has always been a part of the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Fredrick Akinruntan. Prior to his ascending the throne of his forefathers the man was known to posses some of the most luxurious wonders on wheels including a custom built 2012 Rolls Royce and a 2014 model Bentley to mention a few.
This acquisition, despite their astonishing cost, never affected his many business interests including Obat Oil.
As far as Akinruntan was concerned, it was business and pleasure all the way and hardly was the man found involving himself in politics. Hence, four years ago when his son, Yomi Akinruntan, contested for the post of House of Representatives in the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency and lost, he allowed due process to take its course.
Akinruntan’s aloofness as far as politics is concerned is what has seen many of his followers speculating over the probability that he was indeed involved in the act of ballot box and voting materials’ snatching during the governorship and House of Representatives election, which held on Saturday, April 11.
