A nightmare from the past is currently hunting Senator Stella Oduah.
Oduah had run to court to stop the Federal Government from investigating her tenure as Minister of Aviation which lasted between 2011 and 2015 and also prosecuting her.
According to her, having been investigated and exonerated by both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and House of Representatives’ Committee on Aviation, there is no need for any further investigation.
However, delivering judgment in the case sitting in a Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice Adamu Kafarati held that Oduah’s plea lacked merit.
The Federal government is set to investigate and prosecute Oduah in relation to her activities while in office, particularly the controversial two armoured vehicles purchased.
The purchase of the bullet proof vehicles by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) while Oduah was in office attracted public criticism over allegation that the prices were inflated.
