Headies Awards: Organisers Disqualify Singer, Portable
Singer, Portable, has been disqualified from participating in the 15th Headies Awards.
Organisers of the award disqualified the ‘Zazu’ singer over his threat to kill co-nominees and claims that he formed ‘One Million Boys’.
Portable whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola has been involved in several controversies since his career took a turn for good.
Only last month, the controversial singer made a threat in a viral video that he would kill or cause harm to the other nominees in the same categories of awards he was nominated for if he doesn’t win.
Portable was nominated in both ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories.
According to the award organizers; “The music industry demands all-round excellence, and it is extremely important for young artists being potential role models to exude professional responsibility, proper decorum and have respect for others.
