Many would readily ponder on why philanthropist and businessman, Rasak Okoya celebrates his birthday almost every year.
However, when a man is aged as Okoya is, there is always room for happiness and indeed a celebration.
It was on this premise that socialites in Nigeria gathered for the best of time last week when he celebrated a colourful 79th birthday.
Typical of parties thrown by the man’s wife, it was a gathering of who-is-who in the social scene, tended to by the best of hands.
The two-day event, which started with a prayer session climaxed with a colourful celebration which was graced by captains of industry and heavyweights in the party scene.
Guests in attendance included Otunba Adekunle Ojora and wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora; Prince Samuel Adedoyin; Maj. Gen. Ike Nwachukwu Rtd. and wife, Gwen; Erelu Abiola Dosunmu and Chief Sunny Asemota and wife, Ireti.
Others at the event included Hajia Bola Shagaya; Sir Olu Okeowo and wife, Adejoke; Chief (Mrs) Nike Akande; Olorogun Sonny Kuku; Chief (Dr.) Mike Inegbese and wife, Mary; Nike Oshinowo among others.
