The nuptial of Koko Ita-Giwa, daughter of Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, to her man, Chimaobi Shawcross-Obioha Jnr., has climaxed with the white wedding .
Koko’s wedding which held inside the main hall of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos will complete a series of marriage rites which has heralded the much anticipated nuptial.
The road to today’s grand final started with a low-key, but classic introduction ceremony in Ita-Giwa’s Bellavista Tower, Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, home on Sunday, August 3.
Some of the faces at the introduction included Abba Folawiyo, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Etim Okon Edet, His Royal Highness Etubong Bassey, Ambassador Greg Mbadiwe, Arthur Nwandu, Ogbuagu Emeka Okwwuosa, Prince Walter Eze among others.
That was followed by a coral and turquoise-coloured traditional wedding which held on Saturday, September 13, at Princess Villa, Diamond Hill, Calabar, Cross River State.
The colourful wedding which reflected the traditional Calabar setting went without any surprises, as the senator who is known for throwing fairy-tale parties ensured all hands were on deck for Koko’s special day.
Needless, to say that Showcross had to wait for Koko to complete her masters programme abroad before even thinking of asking for her hand in marriage.
An outrageous N100 million is said to have been spent by senator Florence Ita-Giwa for the wedding ceremony.
