How Veteran Nollywood Actor, “Bobo B” Died

It’s been a sad year already for actors in Nollywood with the passing of Sisi Quadri, Amaechi Muonagor, Jimi Solanke, John Okafor, Adejumoke Aderounmu, Junior Pope and others.

Sad as this might be, yet another actor has passed on in the person of veteran actor, Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi.

According to a report monitored on Pm News, the legendary Yoruba actor, popular as Bobo B died after a period of illness.

Olabiyi, was supposed to be on a movie set in Oyo last month, but could not make it due to his deteriorating health.

He was admitted to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he was reportedly unable to speak or move before his death.

The heartbreaking news was made public by the Oyo State governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Yeye Bose Akinola.

In her statement, Akinola said, “I have a directive of the Oyo State TAMPAN governor, Her Excellency Yeye Bose Akinola, to announce the death of our TAMPAN National General Secretary, Chief Alhaji Musadshir Ayobami Olabiyi ‘Bobo B.’ May God give his family and the entire TAMPAN members globally the fortitude to bear the loss. Insha Allah, Amen.”

Until his death, Olaniyi was the National Secretary of TAMPAN and had previously served as the governor of the association in Oyo State.
