Afrobeat singer, Omah Lay, has promised his fans that he is not going to die.
He stated this via a tweet shared at 5:46 PM on Wednesday, November 15.
In the tweet, he wrote, “I am not gonna die I promise”.
Omah Lay’s tweet comes barely 48 hours after the announcement of the death of Nigerian young rapper, Oladips.
Oladips whose real name is Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji is said to have died after battling an unknown illness for two years. he was also said to have suffered depression but kept all to himself.
His death was confirmed on his Instagram page by his management team on Wednesday, November 15.
The statement released by his management said that,
“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov’14 Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!
“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral service will be announced as soon as it is concluded!
“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (Amen) -Management.”
