News I Didn’t Beg Obaseki To Return To APC, Ize-Iyamu Says Published 4 years ago on September 24, 2020 By The Octopus News Admin Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Edo State gubernatorial election has refuted claims that he has begged Governor Godwin Obaseki to return to the APC. Recall that there had been speculation that Ize-Iyamu had called on his opposition candidate and the flag bearer of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election forget their dispute and return to the APC. He is also purport to have said in a televised broadcast on Wednesday night that; “We are going to talk to everybody; we are going to bring everybody back. I want to salute my brother, the governor. I will like to appeal to him to return to the party. In every family, we have a disagreement. “Let it not be said that it was this disagreement that pushed him out. I made that mistake before and I have come to realize that it was a grievous error and I will not want him as a senior brother to make the same mistake. “I will like to appeal to him to set aside his anger and come back. In APC, he is recognized as a leader and it would be difficult for him to be recognized as a leader in the new party he is going.” However, reacting to the speculation, he denied beginning Governor Obaseki to return to the party, stating that he had not addressed the media since the election.
