The negative turn of events for businessman, Ifeayi Ubah, started when he unofficially commissioned comedian Ali Baba to put up a wondrous party to celebrate his 40thbirthday.
Then, the show stopping and statement making party held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, with a lot of guests present smiling home with several freebies including I-Pads, Blackberry phones, Laptops, professional cameras among others.
After that event, Ubah’s fortune took a more drastic turn when his company, Capital Oil, was taken over by the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON), and then he lost his bid to become the governor of Anambra State having invested billions of naira preparing for the election which saw Willie Maduabuchi Obiano emerging winner.
At a point the free spending Ubah was even described as broke.
However, recent information has indicated that the man is fast returning to his old days of financial robustness. The gist now is that Ubah has aligned himself with President Goodluck Jonathan through the Goodluck Support Group (GSG).
He is currently a member of a think-tank group representing the President’s interesting in the eastern part of the country.
