The newly sworn in governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma has ordered the probe of the tenures of former governors Rochas Okorocha, Emeka Ihedioha, and Ikedi Ohakim.
Governor Uzodimma issued the as order as his first in office on Wednesday, January 15.
The governor, issued the order when he spoke for the first time after his inauguration. He asked the state’s accountant-general to send to him the full financial standing of the state as at May 29, 2010.
To all the permanent secretaries in the state, Uzodimma issued a four-day order for them to present the status of contracts that had been awarded within the same period and further instructed that all payments to contractors should be stopped. While promising to make the state work again, he said his government is anchored on three ideas – rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery.
Praising the Nigerian judiciary, he thanked God and said he had forgiven all those who played roles in stealing the mandate he suffered to get.
