News Insecurity: IGP Increases Police Presence On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Published 2 years ago on November 10, 2022 By The Octopus News Admin The presence of police officers has increased on the ever busy Lagos-Ibadan expressway. This disclosure was made by the Inspector-General of the Police (IGP), Usman Baba. LAGOS LEADS IN TECHNOLOGY START-UP, DEVELOPMENT IN WEST AFRICA, SAYS SANWO-OLU Recall that there has been a spate of robbery and kidnapping along the expressway in recent times. On October 28, an unspecified number of motorists were also kidnapped along the expressway, including a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), of the University of Ibadan, Adigun Agbaje. During a press briefing on Thursday, the IGP attributed the spate of kidnapping and robbery on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway to the ongoing construction at the axis. Baba said, “We are in know of what is happening. Most of the cases, if they were not prevented, they were detected. “At the beginning of the week, we decided to increase our presence on that road.
