Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy has revealed how insecurity is preventing promoters from doing as much shows as they used to do.
The music producer revealed that killings in the north and kidnapping allover Nigeria has not helped the music industry.
He reflected on how there used to be Glo Tours, Star Mega Jams and Star Trek, adding that such shows are no longer organised.
“I remember those days with D’banj, we could get up and just tour the country easily, but now people are just keeping it to Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt because of the security problems.
“Touring helped to grow the musicians we had in the past. People like 2baba, P-Square, D’banj became great entertainers because of the amount of shows that they attended around the country, it helped grow their stagecraft, entertaining people from different works of life.”
