Just when you think that Runtown has heard the last of his former record label Ericmany Entertainment, a new issue crops up.
We can reveal to you that the artiste now has a date to keep with an Abuja High Court on Wednesday, August 8, for contempt.
Having been ordered not to release a song or perform for the time being, Runtown went on to drop singles such as ‘Unleash’ and ‘Everyday’. The singer also collaborated on K-Shock’s ‘Sexy Lover’.
Countering a statement by his ex-label that he was in contempt of a court injunction, the artiste maintained that the order had expired.
For the singular act of releasing a song, the artiste now has to explain to the court why he disobeyed it’s injunction.
Ericmany Entertainment originally dragged the singer to court after he claimed that his contract with the label had expired. However, the label maintains that he is yet to discharge his contractual agreement with them.
