Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barca is willing to make Marcus Rashford their latest signing.
This is because they don’t see any future with Luis Suarez and the possibility of Neymar returning to the club appearing dim.
For the deal goes down, the Catalan giants will have to cough out in excess of €100m (£87m), as Rashford is considered ‘non-transferable’ by the Old Trafford chiefs.
Rashford, 21, rose to prominence in 2016 after scoring two goals in his first senior game against Arsenal.
The Man U’s number one striker is in line to sign a new contract running until the summer of 2025, that would see him earn around £200,000-a-week.
Rashford was born and bred in Manchester, meaning it will be tough to take the lad from his hometown, where he already has cult- hero status.
Rashford has made 155 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 42 goals for the club.
