Nigerian singer, Iyanya, has reacted to his car theft suit.
Despite initially keeping mum, stating that the matter was in court, he took to social media to state that Nigerians like bad news.
Iyanya was arraigned at an Igbosere High Court before Justice Okikiolu-Ighile last week, following a car theft allegation brought against him by his former label, The Temple Management Company Limited (TTMCL).
According to the charge sheet, the singer converted to his use or of another person, a Black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV with ‘MAVINIY’ as its plate number.
Since his arraignment, he has also been promoting his soon-to-be released EP titled “The Rebirth”.
The body of work is expected to be influenced majorly by his experience from changing record labels.
Iyanya, who parted ways with Made Men Music Group (MMMG) in 2016, joined Mavin Record in the same year while signing a management deal with TMC, a platform he also subsequently left.
