Music artiste, K9 has refuted allegations of copyright infringement attributed to him.
Last week, a Press Statement released by Edge Records and signed by the label’s boss Ibrahim Okulaja stated that K9 had used a beat paid for by them and they considered it an infringement of their right.
The statement further implored all online music platforms to drop the song.
Interestingly, K9 in his own statement said he had nothing to do with the release of the leaked freestyle.
In his words “I wish to clearly state that I did not release or have anything to do with the release of the “K9 –Kayefi leaked freestyle” song that is going around on the Web. The instrumental for the song, as produced by Sarz, is property of Edge Records & Reminisce. I would like to implore you to kindly respect the intellectual property rights of all parties involved, and also appreciate the hard work committed to the production of the said material by Sarz and co.”
K9 also urged online music platform to drop the song with immediate effect, saying the only song he recently put out and is promoting is Coup Detat.
