Insiders have maintained that Kabiru Aregbesola, son of Osun State Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola was arrested for money Laundering despite concerted efforts to conceal the truth.
According to our Aviation Correspondent who was on ground when the younger Aregbesola was arrested, the whole denial card currently been played out is an after thought to conceal the truth from the masses.
Kabiru had been allegedly arrested by men of the Nigerian Immigration Service at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos while trying to cart away with $177 million in suitcases to the Arab Emirates.
We were informed that having been moved to a holding room, Kabiru was immediately released following the arrival of his father and a subsequent meeting with the Chief Immigration Officer on duty.
This is coming at a point when the Osun State Government is said to be broke and yet to pay salaries of its employee for months.
Interestingly, the state government has denied Kabiru was arrested for money laundering. According to a statement signed by Semiu Okanlawon, the Director of Communication & Strategy to the Osun State governor “no son of Aregbesola was arrested for money laundering”.
Meanwhile, another source close to www.theoctopusnews.com has revealed how some selected media platforms were handsomely paid to douse the alleged arrest of Kabiru. Our source informed us that the platforms were paid to form a divide so that even if some people maintain the younger Aregbesola was arrested a larger sect who had been paid world would deny it creating factions and leaving the reader confuse.
