M.I came under serious criticism from several musicians in 2017.
Rapper, Vector came for the artiste, while music critic, Osagie Alonge also criticised him for his not too impressive album during an interview session.
In 2018, the criticisms have continued and latest to diss M.I is CDQ.
During a recent performance at Soundcity MVP Awards, which held at Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotel, Lagos, M.I urged Nigerian rappers to do better by picking up their pens. He ended his speech with the statement, “Let me hear you say Naija Hip Hop.”
After his delivery at the award, an unimpressed CDQ called out the rapper, saying that there is no such thing as “Naija Hip Hop.” CDQ went on to say while he is making money, M.I was busy making noise.
While M.I didn’t react to CDQ’s attack, this definitely wasn’t the way he hoped to start 2018.
