News Lagos State Government Set To Demolish Properties On Right-Of-Way Of Drainage Channel In Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo Published 9 months ago on May 14, 2024 By The Octopus News Admin A 48-hour contravention notice to owners of properties built on the Right-Of-Way of drainage channel in Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo has been published by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab. Wahab, published the notice on his X handle today, Tuesday, May 14. Recall that while the demolition in Mende took place two weeks ago, an affected resident alleged that they were given two hours notice to vacate the property for the demolition to take place. In an apparent bid to correct such a notion, the Commissioner posted the notice and wrote ‘’The Drainage Enforcement and Compliance Department of the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources @LasgMOE has issued a 48-hour contravention notice to owners of properties built on Right-Of-Way of drainage channel in Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Isolo. “This is in accordance with the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law, 2017 and the renewed drive of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu administration’s effort to ensure free flow of rainwater and prevent flooding across the State.” Post Views: 388 Related Topics:Commissioner for Environment and Water ResourcesLagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water ResourcesLagos State Government Set To Demolish Properties Build On Right-Of-Way Of Drainage Channel In Jakande Estate; Oke-Afa; IsoloRight-Of-Way of drainage channelTokunbo Wahab Up Next EFCC Arraigns Emefiele For Printing N684m Notes With N18.96bn Don't Miss FG Developing Minimum Wage Based On Workers’ Productivity You may like Tokunbo Wahab, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Disagree Over Cause Of Flooding In Lagos CHOLERA OUTBREAK: COMRADE OKHIRIA WRITES OPEN LETTER TO SANWO-OLU, TOKUNBO WAHAB OVER USEFULNESS OF SANITATION OFFICERS Flood: Lagos Government Places Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island, Epe, Badagry On Red Alert Lagos State Government Threatens To Shut Down Quilox, Club Cubana Others Click to comment Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
