Nigerian actor, Alex Ekubo, has stated that motorists accessing the Lekki Tollgate should not have to pay.
The actor shared his thoughts in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, October 20.
According to him, the tollgate should be free, as payment has been made with the blood of the people killed during the#EndSars protest of October 20, 2020.
He also called for the renaming of the Lekki Tollgate in memory of the lives lost on that day.
Ekubo’s comment comes as Nigerians mark the second anniversary of EndSARS lekki tollgate shooting which left countless people dead.
Sharing a photo from the protest against police brutality, he wrote;
“Dear Nigerian Government, we will NEVER forget this day. 20 – 10 – 20. We will return the favour. The Labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
“I still maintain, Lekki Toll plaza shLekki Tollgate Should Be Free, We Paid With Our Blood”
