Lesson Learnt: 9ice Keeps Mum About 2019 Political Ambition

The first taste of politics for singer 9ice was not a palatable one. Having suffered a downward slope in his music career, 9ice tried his hands with politics in 2014, launching his political ambition.
The ‘Gongo Aso’ singer who had eyes on the House of Representatives seat in his Ogbomosho North/South/Orire Federal constituency got some support, but didn’t last the tide, as he lost the All Progressive Congress (APC), primaries to Prince Akeem Oyewunmi.
The loss saw the singer being reduced from a House of Representatives hopeful to a nobody until he was made Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on, a title which was simply what it was, a mere tag.
Since his 2014 misadventure with politics, 9ice, has since returned to music relevance, as he has released several hits and has also done collaborations that have been on rotation.
However, the musician has not made any mention of returning to politics even as the 2019 election gathers momentum. There are those asking if his political ambition is dead.
