The saying that lightning does not strike twice in a particular place is a popular one. When it does, then there is something wrong.
The case of erstwhile governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode is gradually looking like a case of thunder striking several times over in a particular place.
Accused of mismanaging funds belonging to the state while in office, there have been calls for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to look into his affairs while he was in government, and bring him to book if found guilty.
Despite the EFCC swinging into action with visits already paid to the erstwhile governor, the continuous call for his probe, as recently seen when the Lagos Youth Vanguard led by their patron, Rasak Olokooba and President, Ibrahim Ekundina protested at the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), calling for Ambode’s probe has given rise to posers about the real purpose of the onslaught.
