Like A Night In Shinning Armour, Benedict Peters’ Magnanimity Comes To Fore

If written now, the biography of Benedict Peters, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aiteo Group would be quite inspiring.

From being a successful businessman in Nigeria, he expanded his frontiers to other African countries, making bold statements in the oil and gas industry.

Like every businessman, he faced a few challenges which he surmounted to emerge the founder of Nigeria’s largest indigenous oil producing company.

But with every successful businessman, there are those whose sole interest is to taint that success, hence a seeming sabotage against Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Company in a recent oil spillage in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 29 in Nembe, Bayelsa State.

Since the spill, there has been a deliberate and negative campaign against Aiteo, but the good intentions of the company and its leadership appear more visible.

Since the incident, magnanimous Peters has ordered technical expertise both locally and internationally to contain the spill, while also donating over four truckloads of food items, medical supplies and N5 million in cash to the affected communities.

Though spillages of this nature are peculiar with the industry, Peters is unperturbed by this as he has on-boarded renowned Boot & Coots to immediately bring the situation under control using a local resource, while still seeking other avenues to alleviate the effects of the spillage on residents of the communities affected.
