The Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIRS), having established its war against tax evasion among celebrities with a case against Monalisa Chinda, has gone after Iyabo Ojo.
The LIRS is urging the thespian who own a chain of businesses under the Fespri brand name in Lekki, Lagos State to pay the sum of N38 million as tax.
The brand name Fespris was registered in 2016 with the business line including a spa, salon, and facial palour. In 2019, the business was expanded with a restaurant and a lounge added to the business line.
The actress is however complaining over her allegedly accrued personal income tax of N38 million.
The movie star took to her Instagram account on September 12 to lament the tax debt levied on her, calling the atyention of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
In a now deleted post on Instagram, the actress stated that she was contemplating shutting down her Fespris chain of businesses, adding that she is making little or no profit from it.
Describing the tax slammed on her as outrageous, she wondered how the tax officials arrived at the sum for her Personal Income Tax.
